WPDG secure planning permission for a new farmstead to enable housing development in Ilmington

Warwickshire Property and Development Group (WPDG) received detailed planning permission on 1st March 2024 for the replacement and relocation of a farmhouse and barns, with a new access, within a County Council owned farm in Ilmington. The replacement farmstead consent enables progression of the Neighbourhood Plan allocated development site, including the existing farmstead, at Back Lane in Ilmington.

WPDG and its professional team will be launching a tender process later this year, to appoint a preferred delivery partner to bring forward the newly consented farm buildings and work up and submit a Detailed planning application for the redevelopment site.

This is a real opportunity to bring forward a much needed mix of house types and tenures, in this affluent village, which will allow both growing families and downsizers to stay in the area. The scheme will include 40% affordable housing provision, as well as good quality open space and improved accessibility to the village amenities and adjacent play and recreation area.

The allocated site is for a development of 20 dwellings, with a further 8 homes on an adjoining reserve allocation site. WPDG will continue to work with Stratford-on-Avon District Council, alongside the Parish Council and local residents, to ensure that the proposed scheme is a good fit for Ilmington.
