Development sold to support future investment across Warwickshire

A Warwickshire development which is home to a thriving collection of SMEs has been sold to enable further investment in commercial developments across the county.

Warwickshire Property & Development Group (WPDG) has completed the sale of Sucham Park, a fully-let 42,200 sq ft industrial scheme in Southam.

Sucham Park comprises of nine units ranging from 1,900 to 15,000 sq ft and was WPDG’s first direct-delivery commercial scheme.

WPDG will build on the sale through further investment bringing forward two new schemes in Warwickshire, which will deliver further high-quality space for growing businesses across the county.

Greville Business Park, located between Leamington and Warwick, will provide 28,000 sq ft of commercial space across 11 units while WPDG has also submitted plans for a 21,350 sq ft scheme on the site of the former Bloxham Centre in Rugby.

Sucham Park brought a long-unused development site at Holywell Business Park back into use and all nine of the units were let within 12 months of construction being completed.

It is now home to six businesses and supports around 100 jobs, with the energy efficient scheme featuring solar panels, 10 electric vehicle charging points and achieving an EPC A rating.

Businesses based at Sucham Park include Green Tech Industries Ltd, which recycles and repurposes batteries and motors from electric vehicles, and Leamington Spa-based RMF Installation and Services, the world’s largest supplier and installer of reclaimed raised floor systems.

It is also home to leading global supplier of fasteners and metal engineered components Auto Fasteners Ltd.

The development was built to provide space for SMEs to grow and develop in Southam. For example, Green Tech Industries has seen significant growth, creating 11 jobs and expanding into additional office space.

The sale was marked during a visit to Sucham Park by Councillor James Crocker, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Finance and Property at Warwickshire County Council, and Councillor Andy Crump, who represents Southam, Stockton and Napton on Warwickshire County Council.

The sale of the scheme marks another successful milestone and will allow further investment in new commercial developments that will create even more opportunities for businesses and communities across the county.”

WPDG was formed by Warwickshire County Council to realise the potential of its development sites, commercial buildings and mineral rights.

Plans submitted for new retail units and children’s day nursery at Milby Meadows

Plans have been submitted for new retail premises and a children’s day nursery at the heart of a major new community in Nuneaton.

Warwickshire Property & Development Group (WPDG) has submitted a reserved matters planning application for a site at Milby Meadows.

The district centre proposals include four new retail units, with the largest of the retail units expected to become a convenience store where residents can pick up everyday essentials, and announcements set to be made on the first occupiers over the coming months.

The new children’s day nursery will provide childcare options to families living on the development and across the north of Nuneaton.

The plans could create around 50 full and part-time jobs for the local community.

It would provide 57 car parking spaces, including eight electric vehicle charging points and be designed to achieve BREEAM ‘Very Good’ status, reflecting a high standard of sustainability.

Milby Meadows is already taking shape, with more than 200 homes completed and the recently opened Higham Lane North Academy serving the community.

The development will include around 1,700 two, three and four-bedroom homes for private sale, private rent and affordable housing which are being delivered through Develop Warwickshire – the joint venture between WPDG, Warwickshire County Council and Vistry Group.

Alongside the homes and secondary school, Milby Meadows will include a primary school, play areas, green spaces and walking routes.

Plans for a residential care home on a neighbouring site are also expected to be announced shortly, adding another important service for the community.

WPDG was established by Warwickshire County Council to realise the potential of its development sites, commercial buildings and mineral rights, including the delivery of affordable and market-priced homes across Warwickshire.

The district centre plans were shaped following a public consultation in June 2026, which gave residents an opportunity to view the proposals and provide feedback.

Develop Warwickshire celebrates milestone with 200 homes delivered across the county

A landmark joint venture created to accelerate housing delivery across Warwickshire has reached a major milestone with the completion of its 200th home.

Develop Warwickshire is a £2.5 billion partnership between Warwickshire Property and Development Group, Warwickshire County Council and Vistry Group.

It has now delivered more than 200 homes across two sites, including all 71 homes at Brookmill Meadows in Warton and more than 130 homes at Milby Meadows in Nuneaton.

The milestone comes just three years after the joint venture secured planning permission for its first residential development and shows how quickly it has moved from plans to construction and completed homes.

Brookmill Meadows received planning permission in February 2023, welcomed its first residents within 18 months and has now been fully completed, with all homes sold.

Construction is continuing at Milby Meadows at Top Farm in Weddington, where more than 130 homes have already been delivered as part of a wider new community which will see the creation of up to 1,700 homes.

Develop Warwickshire has secured planning permission for more than 600 homes at the site, while plans are also progressing for a new local centre providing shops and community facilities.

The partnership has also delivered a new 1.5km link road through the development, helping to enable the £30 million Higham Lane North Academy, which opened in September 2025.

The joint venture has also submitted planning for its third scheme which is to deliver 57 new homes in Water Orton. Work is expected to begin later this year subject to consent.

Develop Warwickshire is delivering homes for open market sale, affordable housing and private rent to support different local housing needs.

The homes include energy-efficient features such as air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points, helping to reduce energy use and running costs for residents.
